France: Another Excellent Motorcycle Safety Campaign - 2012
Edit: Lade till YouTube-länken.
The French government, notably the Minister of Transport , knows how to make hard hitting safety campaigns. They have released their latest creation to the French TV and print magazines.
I'll not bother you with the print ad, since it's a bit difficult to translate, but their TV commercial/PSA is very good. Just watching it made my skin get goose bumps.
The main motto of the campaign is pretty good: "On a motorcycle, the biggest danger is to think there is none". Good start...
In the following video, you'll see a biker get on his motorcycle, start up and ride away. During his ride in the city, while he is avoiding many potential accidents (car doors opening, car drivers on the phone, pedestrians not looking, etc), a voice-over, in French, says that "every day, the biker risks his life, piloting a bike requires you to stay focussed at all times, he needs to remain vigilant for two, anticipate all traps, handle the unforeseen...".
Then we see the motorcycle in the country side, and while the voice-over says "... but all that is quickly forgotten when he can let his motorcycle go...." and then BAMMMMM.
This is followed with a sign that says "On a motorcycle, the majority of deadly accidents happen during beautiful weather in the countryside."
NOTE: According to the government statistics, 2 out of 3 deadly motorcycle accidents happen in the countryside, 7 out of 10 during daylight, and 8 out of 10 when the weather is great.
